HYDROSTAB® upstream - Series K1 20 or K1 21

HYDROSTAB® Pressure sustaining valve is an automatic control valve with 2 functions:

• Maintaining a minimum upstream pressure (in-line installation)
  • Ensures a minimum pressure at a high point or towards a disadvantaged connection.
  • Prevent too great a drop in pressure when supplying a reservoir and spread out reservoir filling over time.
  • Maintain a minimum pressure on a pump and consequently limit the flow rate to prevent it from working in a cavitation zone. (to be checked according to the pump curve),
• Relief valve (installed as a pipe by-pass) to cut off any pressure in a network above its set value, towards another network, a tank or an atmospheric discharge.
  • Prevent over pressure in a network when a shut-off device is closed.
  • Ensure a minimum flow rate at the outlet of a pump to protect it from operating at too low a flow rate.
