- Verifying and commissioning standpipes and fire hydrants

Handling and installation guidelines reminder:
- Rules to follow to ensure compliant handling
- Risks and hazards in case of improper use
Practical exercises:
- Valve replacement
- Standpipe draining - Installation / replacement of the Choc kit
- Installation / replacement of the housing rehabilitation kit
- Installation / replacement of COPERNIC® and KIT SECURE options (depending on the equipment fleet)
- Functional testing and standpipe inspection
Please note:
Participants must identify in advance: the year of manufacture of the standpipes, diameters, and configurations of the existing equipment fleet, in order to allow preparation of the appropriate spare parts.
This training requires regulatory safety measures (road safety + DECI authority approval).
→ No handling will be carried out under real conditions without prior agreement from the DECI authority.
Standpipes must be accessible and their shut-off valves functional to allow isolation of the intervention area.
Mandatory safety measures for trained personnel must be planned (confined spaces, marking, PPE, CPE).
Access to 1 to 3 fire hydrants is required depending on the chosen option.
