DJET – Series F1 30

Direct acting safety relief valve

To protect networks by instantaneous discharge, into the air, of a large enough volume of water to limit a sudden wave of overpressure (water hammer).  Water hammer is the result of a sudden variation in the movement of a body of water in a pipe. It causes very sudden pressure oscillations, and alternating overpressure and negative pressure.
